Home Self Defense and Your Castle
A man’s home is his castle and everyone knows a castle is very hard to penetrate. Is your home like a castle? Would it be difficult or easy for a burglar or some other home invader to make his way into your home while you were away? What if you were at home and your family too? Scary thought isn’t it? Good home self defense can never be overemphasized. You and your family deserve to feel safe and be safe in your own home. So it’s time to come up with a plan to make your home a castle. Take a good look around your home inside and out. If you were a thief how would you try to gain access? Those are the things you need to address first. Examine your entryway doors. Are they solid doors or hollow. If they are hollow replace them immediately. Re-enforce them with some heavy-duty, extra long door strikes that measure at least 4 feet long. Attach them to the casement with extra long screws that are driven deep into the door framing. This will stop any one who tries to bust through the door.
